FanHQ traveled to White Bear Township to seek revenge for their extra inning loss earlier in the season to the Knights. The Knights had good pitching and great defense early but their bats were silent for the first six innings of the game.
In the bottom of the 7th, down 0-3, the Knights refused to go away. A lead off walk started the inning, followed by a strike out on a tough call that was nearly in the dirt. Sam Claeson then came to the plate looking to keep the inning alive and roped a line drive double into the gap scoring the first run of the game for the Knights. The double was followed by another strikeout. But then Toby Kaplan, the Knights current hit leader, came up with a huge double moving Claeson over to third who did not attempt to score on the double due to the outstanding arm shown off by the Fantom's right fielder. With two outs, down by two runs, and runners on third and second, Knights veteran Frank Matteson came up to the plate looking to tie up the game. On an 0-1 count Matteson smashed a fastball up the middle for a basehit scoring both runners and tying the game.
The game would go into extra innings. Cole Oosterhuis would pitch two scoreless innings before the game would be called due to severe lightning. It was a great comeback for the Knights, but they had two great chances to end the game in extra innings and failed to get a run across. They still have the momentum and hungry to finish the game with a win later in the season.
