Box Score: 7/27/2011 - Metro Knights 20, Tri-City Shark 4

Back to Scores

In a must win game where a loss would mean falling to 8th place in the Skyline league and a win would mean jumping up to 6th place the Knights showed up with bats that must have been carved from lightning-struck trees.  Tri-City would strike first scoring two runs in the first inning off two hits and a walk but the Knights would answer with 8 runs off 8 hits.  They would never look back.

Tri-City is a tough team and a high scoring team.  They came back earlier in the season to score 4 runs in the last two innings to take a win away from the Knights in a 7-8 loss.  This time the Knights offense would make sure that wasn't possible.  It was a great momentum builder heading into the playoffs that start this Sunday.
