Box Score: 6/9/2012 - Metro Knights 14, Rosetown A's 12

It was 90 degrees under the sun which must have been what heated up the Knights bats on their way to a 14-12 victory of a tough good hitting Rosetown A's team. Rosetown would have 10 hits up the middle of the infield in the game on an infield that seemed harder than concrete. But the Knights had extra-base hits in almost every inning and would not let up off the gas. TJ Mayer would get the offense going with a long double and eventually the based would become loaded and then unloaded by a moon-shot Grandslam from Dan Piilola. Two innings later Frank Matteson load start where Piilola left off and will clear the bases with a 3 run home run. Eventually, the game would become close again before pitcher Adam King would hit a two RBI double in the 9th to provide a big enough lead for him to close the game on. It was a hot and hard fought game from both sides. Great job by the A's on hitting every inning. But the Knights bats would prevail in the end. The Knights move to 8-7 on the season with the win. Ethan Simonson would get the victory on the mound with Adam King with the save.
