The 3-3 Knights travel to take on the 6-0 St. Anthony Hogs Tuesday night at 7:00pm at St. Anthony High School. The Hogs are playing some great baseball to start the season and are a topped rank Class A team right now. Can the Knights find a way to get their bats going to support their great pitching staff? Time will tell.....
Clark Takes Down Hogs. Gives First Defeat
Ben Clark took the mound and accomplished what no one else has done this year: he defeated the St. Anthony Hogs. As he's done the entire year, Clark threw strikes and kept batters off balance scattering 6 hits across 7 innings. The only run he would allow would come in the 6th inning off an infield error. It was otherwise a great defensive game for the Knights whose outfield made great play after great play and infield was solid outside of the one blunder caused by a blinding setting sun.
Offense still needs some work. Only 2 hits came in the game for the Knights. Thankfully the combination of the hits, walks, stolen bases, and some help from the Hog's outfield allowed the Knights to cross home plate 3 times and take the win moving them to 4-3 in league play.
