Monday, July 12th at 8:00pm, the 7-17 Knights travel to McGuire Field in South Saint Paul to take on the very talented Stockmen's Irish. The Irish are 6-4 in league play coming into Monday's game.

After missing his previous start due to a pinky injury, Ricky Caldecott will be on the mound looking to continue his 2010 pitching success. The Knight's Steve Thompson has been on a tear lately batting .643 over the past 5 games with a .714 slugging percentage. Frank Matteson has also been staying hot at the plate batting .600 over the past 5 games with a 1.200% slugging percentage including 2 doubles, 2 triples, and 2 home runs in those 5 games.

The Knights were given a beating from the Irish today. They lost 10-0 in 5 innings and didn't put up a run or hit the entire game. Not only did the Knights not hit during the game, the two runners that did reach base were both picked off. Where they were going, no one really knows. One of the ugliest games of the year for the Knights. The Irish showed what it means to be a polished team as they took advantage of every mistake the Knights made.
