A native of Milwaukee, Meehan began his amateur baseball career with the Madison (Wis.) Rockers, earning a place as the team's everyday second baseman from 2003 to 2007. Meehan's best season came in 2004, when he batted .393 with a .989 OPS as the Rockers blasted their way to a second place finish. It was during this time that Meehan honed his on-base skills, routinely drawing walks, stealing bases, and scoring runs at the top of the Rockers order. Meehan's abilities as a table setter are best exemplified by his stolen base success rate (17 steals in 20 attempts) and the video game-esque .552 OBP he posted in his final season with the Rockers in 2007.
In 2008, Meehan relocated to Minnesota and signed with the Knights for their inaugural season. He became General Manager in October 2009. Away from baseball, Meehan is a licensed attorney and works in the financial services industry.
